Alberto Burri and…”Art of Another Kind”

Final weeks of Alberto Burri, part of the exhibition “Art of Another Kind” at the Guggenheim.

I always liked him, also because his roots are Umbrian just like a big part of my family…good “excuse” to be curious enough to better explore his work. Alberto Burri’s use of “nonart” materials created the basis of the most important time in the Italian art of the last century, called  Arte Povera ( literary, “Poor Art”), movement of the ’60 and ’70…a suggestion for our NYC friends: enjoy this beautiful exhibition at the Guggheneim…ciao!
